Continued Learning: Human Trafficking Prevention
Open Doors is grounded in a commitment to systems change, ongoing self-reflection, and the creation of safer, more responsive spaces for young people. That commitment includes continuing to build our own capacity to recognize harm, respond with care, and support youth — especially those most vulnerable in our communities.
In recognition of National Human Trafficking Awareness Day on January 11th, this month’s booster resource focuses on continued learning around identifying and understanding the signs of human trafficking.
Hope for Justice offers several free, public online trainings that provide clear, factual information, address common misconceptions about trafficking, and explore ways to respond and support with intention.

Recommended trainings include:
- Human Trafficking in the United States: The Truth and What You Can Do About It
- Keeping Kids Safe in the Digital World
- Human Trafficking in a U.S. Clinical Setting
These trainings are designed to separate fact from fiction, deepen awareness, and offer practical guidance and resources for prevention and response.
